Hi Vintage Lovers,
Welcome to Vintage Repair, the new section of Vintage Union where we will post some of the techniques to make your vintage sneakers comeback from the other side.
In this case we are gone to talk about repairing a broken midsole; the sneaker is an Adidas Conductor I won on Ebay the seller told me that the shoe was used but in great condition; it’s obvious he was lying to me; well anyway I won them really cheap.
Materials that you would need before starting the procedure:
Elastic rubbers
Transparent silicone
Latex gloves
Knife
Spoon
Paper
A new pair of insoles
Shoelaces (optional)
Materiales que se van necesitar antes de proceder a la operacion:
Elasticos
Silicona transparente
Guantes de latex
Cuchillo
Cuchara
Papel
Unas plantillas nuevas
Cordones (opcional)
First of all use the elastic rubbers on the sneakers and make yourself comfortable during the process. Use the knife to make a cut on the top of the midsole. Be aware to make it big enough to be able to introduce the spoon.
Use the spoon to remove all the sticky midsole and clean the inside of the midsole with the paper as hard as you can.
Utiliza la cuchara para quitar todo el pegajoso interior de la entresuela utiliza tambien el papel para limpiarlo todo lo que puedas.
Then use the transparent silicone and your hands to introduce the silicone and make it uniform inside the midsole.
Wait a week let the silicone do its job; this is the worst part if there is another problem in the midsole the human eye can't see the silicone will show you.
Espera una semana a que la silicona haga su trabajo; esta es la peor parte porque si hay algun otro problema que el ojo humano no haya visto la silicona te lo enseñara.
READY TO ROCK AGAIN!!!
LISTAS PARA USAR OTRA VEZ!!!
